The city includes the historic port city of Jaffa with a rich historical and cultural heritage dating back to 7500 BCE as well as the modern city of Tel-Aviv with its famous Bauhaus architecture (designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Tel Aviv-Jaffa is a mixed city with Jewish and Arab (Muslim and Christian) populations. It is famous for its beaches, its museums and art galleries, the classical music and jazz scene, and its vibrant nightlife. It is also acclaimed as one of the top culinary destinations in the world, and was chosen as one of the top 10 party cities in the world by Lonely Planet.
